14 02 2012

Once again, O.S.T.A will be supporting our private, public school, and colligate string teachers and orchestra directors with session at the Ohio Music Education Associate Professional Conference being held in Columbus from Februrary 16 – 18. We hope you will be able to attend the conference to hear some of Ohio’s outstanding orchestras, and attend clinic sessions given by some of our colleagues. OSTA is proud to support some of the clinics being given, and invite you to the “New Music Reading Session” on Thursday, February 16, from 6:30 – 7:30 P.M., at the Hyatt, in the Delaware Room. OSTA membership is not a requirement to participate. We urge you to bring your instrument and join our sight reading orchestra!

You can use the OMEA website at http://omea-ohio.org to get your registration. Be sure to state you are an OSTA Member on the application.

On Friday morning, February 17, the Ohio String Teacher’s Association is sponsoring a breakfast meeting from 8:00 – 9:00 A.M in the Hyatt Harding Room. At this time, our President, Kathleen Horvath, will discuss organizational issues, and present the slate of nominee for the Board of Trustees and State Officers. We hope you will be able to join us, and encourage your participation in the O.S.T.A. sponsored clinics and events. We look forward to seeing you there!
